The Good Garden Shoppe reserves the right to change these policies at any time

Out of Stock Policy:

Periodically, an item you ordered may be out of stock. If we find out that an item is out of stock at the time we are filling the order, we will call or email you for permission to substitute a similar variety. You will also have the opportunity to put your entire order on hold until we have received more stock. We will only consider doing "part-shipments" if a second shipping fee is paid.

In the event of further stock unavailability due to crop failure or other unavoidable cause, we will advise so that you may either re-order, cancel part of, or cancel your entire order and have any advance payment refunded.

 

Contacting Us:

We are a home based business and very often we find ourselves getting our hands dirty in our gardens at odd times during the day. We therefore prefer to communicate via email. If you need to reach us, please email us using contact form or the email link on our Contact page.

Seed Planting Instructions:

Seed sowing, growing and harvesting instructions can be found on the individual product pages on our website. Please read and follow the instructions carefully.

Seed Packets and Quantities:

Our seed packets are quite plain as we prefer the more natural, enviro-friendly approach over costly inks & fancy packaging. As is the norm in the industry, the quantity of seeds per packet varies with the plant variety.

Seed Viability:

To provide seed in the best possible condition, we do not keep any seed stock for longer than 6 months. Our seeds are not chemically treated in any way (i.e. for long shelf life) and are simply sealed in an airtight bag and stored at optimum (cool) storage temperatures. We recommend that seed purchased from us should be similarly stored (sealed and in the back of a fridge) for no longer than 6 months before planting.

All of our seed is germination tested by the grower. While the majority of the seed shows a 90-100% germination rate, all will have at least 80%. It is important to keep in mind that regardless of the growers test results, it is your climate, soil & planting practice that will have the final say for actual in-ground germination.

Warranty / Guarantee:

Seeds are living products that depend on many factors such as proper planting time and technique, depth of sowing, soils, proper germination environment, fertility, disease control, insect control, and reasonable weather for direct sown seeds. If any of these factors are not right, it may cause the seed to not perform and because most, if not all, of these factors are out of our control, most of the success of these seeds is in the hands of the grower. If they have been cared for properly and still fail to germinate at an acceptable rate, as determined at our discretion, we will REPLACE the seed or ISSUE A CREDIT VOUCHER, one time only.

Following custom in the trade, we give no warranty, express or implied, as to the viability or description of the seed, nor can we be responsible for the resulting plant crop or its possible misuse. Should you have any complaint please let us know.

Shipping:

We ship all orders as requested by the customer upon completion of order. Most orders are successfully sent via Post Office Registered Mail, Door-to-Door Courier Service or Speed Services Counter-to-Counter Service. We are not responsible for lost or damaged shipments. We are not responsible for lost orders shipped to an incorrect address. If you provided us with an incorrect address, you assume all risk. Personal Collection from our Home Office in Lynnwood Ridge, Pretoria is available by appointment only.

Shipping and Handling Fees:

The shipping and handling fee is calculated automatically upon completing your order. It is based upon the shipping method. The shipping and handling fee does not just include postage, but includes the cost for packaging, labels, cost to fill the order etc. By completing the order, you accept the shipping and handling fees.

Processing and Delivery Time:

Our busiest time of the year is between July and October. Except for our busiest period, orders are generally shipped within 2 business days of receiving your payment for your order. During our busiest period however, it may take up to 4 business days to ship from the day you placed your order. The delivery time is based on the time it takes to process your order in the order it was received. Note: We do not have a delivery service on weekends and all delivery times stated are dependant on available stock.

Valid Email Address:

You must provide a valid email address when placing an order. We send a confirmation of the order, with our bank details via email. We also send progress emails to inform you of the progress of your order as well as a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number once the order has been shipped. If a valid email address is not provided, you will not be able to receive these confirmations.

Valid Shipping Address:

You must provide an accurate shipping address when placing your order. We send a confirmation of your order via email. Please review the address on the email confirmation for accuracy. If a valid shipping address is not provided, and the order is shipped, the customer bears full responsibility for a lost shipment.

Return Policy:

All sales are final and we do not accept returns for any reason.

Our Privacy Policy:

We will not share any personal information that you provide to us. We do not make your information available to any outside source.

The Good Garden Shoppe reserves the right to communicate by way of e-mail, any news, special offers, events, and competitions to any visitor that offers his or her E-Mail address to us. We will remove any e-mail address from our client database if requested, and all communication will immediately cease.
